Central Stay Hostel

2014-08-15 | Be temos

“Central Stay” hostel is not located in the center of the city as the name can suggest and at the same time be misleading, but it’s not far from old-town action, either. Just 400 meters from Gate of Aušra you’ll find glass door, open it - no password required.

At the time of my visit hostel was almost empty - I heard some people speaking in Russian and Polish, but no English visitors based on my observation. I got to sleep in an empty room with three beds. That was more than I could expect - like a king. It cozy and relaxing atmosphere inside.

Hostel does not look like a party hostel, because it’s silent - no music in the background and you can almost hear wind breathing outside. Perfect place for travelers valuing their privacy.

As in Filaretai Hostel the arrangement of rooms and corridors remind me of a labyrinth. There are two floors where guests can feel like home. First floor - sleeping rooms, kitchen and guests room. Second floor - showers, sleeping locations, etc.

Very small and poor kitchen, but enough for basic needs. It seems you can’t cook an apple pie there even if you wish, while in other hostels - there is such a possibility. I’ve already mentioned that Do Re Mi hostel - absolute winner in kitchen area.

People working at administration - way beyond forty, very little communication was happening. Trust me - “Central Stay” - not a party hostel, but for those looking for new experiences - great place to visit. Definitely not the best choice for backpackers that enjoy cooking, but good for those that want hostel close to bus or train stations.

I felt secure and my privacy was respected there.
